Welcome to our journal

This is a little corner of FOUR where we slow down and talk. Every month, we’ll share something with you here. A story, a thought, a look behind the scenes. Some entries will be about riding. Some about the people we meet. Some about the small things we love.

But for the very first one, it felt right to start at the beginning. So let us tell you who we are.

It started with a friendship

We are four friends: Zoe, Emilie, Romee, and Laurence.

We met as kids at a summer pony camp. We were young, a little wild, and completely in love with horses. That summer turned into a friendship that never let go.

We grew up in the saddle. The sport taught us discipline. It taught us patience. And somewhere along the way, it gave us each other.

The name says it all. FOUR is simply the four of us. Four friends, four characters, one shared love.

The thing that bothered all of us

Here’s the funny part. We all felt the same frustration, long before we ever talked about it.

Shopping for good equestrian wear was a mess. You had to jump from website to website. One place had the technical pieces you needed to ride. Another had the elegant, everyday style you actually wanted to wear. Almost no one had both.

So when Zoe was recovering from an injury at home, our casual chats turned into something real. We started to dream out loud. What if we built the place we always wished existed? One spot where smart, modern fashion and the real equestrian life come together.

That dream became FOUR.

Meet the four of us

We each bring something different. That’s the whole point.

Romee takes care of our in-house collection, from the first sketch to the final piece. She used to compete, and now riding is how she finds peace. She has an eye for detail and a soft spot for clothes that are made to last. Her style is simple, but never boring.

Zoe keeps everything running behind the scenes, from the numbers to the planning. She’s a five-star showjumper, so she knows exactly what a rider needs under pressure. When her injury kept her out of the saddle, she poured that energy into building FOUR. Her style? Pieces that move easily from the stable to the rest of the day.

Emilie, Zoe’s sister, leads our marketing and daily work. She’s also a pro showjumper and has helped organize big events like the Stephex Masters. She’s joyful, honest, and full of energy. She tests our clothes where it counts most: in real life, on a real horse.

Laurence shapes how everything looks and feels. She comes from a background in interior design, so she has a natural feel for beautiful materials and colors. She rides for the love of it. Her taste is calm and clean, with real power behind it.

How we choose what’s on FOUR

We have one simple rule. A piece only makes it onto FOUR if all four of us say yes.

We talk it through together. We listen to each other. Sometimes we disagree, and that’s okay. We always land on the best choice in the end.

We look for three things: lasting quality, real comfort, and a sense of elegance that feels effortless. It doesn’t matter if it’s a technical piece for the saddle or something to wear far away from the stable. It has to earn its place.

Nothing ends up here by accident.

More than a shop

For us, FOUR is not just a place to buy clothes. It’s a movement.

We stepped away from the noise of the mass market on purpose. Instead, we want to give you a calm, careful space. A place where great clothing quietly becomes part of a beautiful life.
